The Homestead Nursery

• The Nursery is registered for 32 children with a small homely environment.
• The outdoor play area is large and spacious with both soft and hard surfaces.
• Opening hours from 7.45am to 6pm.
• Early start at 7.30am if parents require this service.
• Holiday closing: one week at Christmas and every Bank Holiday.
• Flexible hours to parents are offered within out ten hour day.
• Short and middle of the day care available for parents with school age children.
• 10% reduction in fees for siblings at The Nursery.
• Holiday reductions for teachers and school nurses.

The Proprietor Sue Williams has been involved in Childcare for over 20 years. She is a qualified Nurse, Midwife, Health Visitor and has lectured in Childcare teaching Nursery Nurses.

The Homestead Nursery is divided into four areas depending on age and stage of development.

• Baby room catering for babies up to 1 year old.
• Busy Bees room for children from 1-2 years old.
• Tweenies room for children between 2-3 years old.
• Pre-school room for children between 3-5 years old.

All rooms are supervised with a qualified Nursery Nurse with either an NNEB Certificate or an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education.

The Homestead Nursery provides Nursery Education to three to five year olds, implementing the Foundation Stage Of Education.

The Homestead Nursery provides Nursery Education for up to a maximum of 12.5 hours per week during term time. All free sessions are credited back to the parents. Five free sessions of Nursery Education over two and a half days available.
